Saturday, September 6th

Welcome to the journey of a life time! On Saturday, September 6th, Egypt Air flight # 986 leaves JFK to Cairo at 6:30 pm. Overnight plane ride to Cairo. All activities listed will happen but maybe not necessarily in the order stated. Be prepared for spontaneous changes.

Sunday, September 7th

We arrive at the Cairo airport about 11:30 am local time where we will be met by our Tour Mangers with Quest Travel. They will transfer us to Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel. We rest and acclimate in the afternoon. Evening opening circle and meal at Mohamed’s home. (Dinner)

Monday, September 8th

Egypt-10 Egypt-095:00 am – 8:00 am: We will begin this day with an amazing private sunrise visit to the Giza Plateau. We will have our opening ceremony at the Sphinx. During our first ritual we will pay our respects to the Sphinx, the guardian of the Mysteries. We will connect to the land of Egypt and set our individual intentions for this journey. Then we will take a camel ride up to the Giza Plateau and the pyramids.t (Breakfast)

In the afternoon we visit the famous step pyramid at Sakkara, the world’s oldest free standing stone pyramid. Sakkara was the result of a vision by Imhotep a renowned vizier, healer, and the architect to King Djoser (Dynasty III). This complex also houses a temple of sound and healing. We will visit one of the Old Kingdom tombs that houses The Pyramid Texts, which are the oldest spiritual writings in the world. These texts write about becoming a star.

Tuesday, September 9th

Egypt-08 Egypt-13 Egypt-07Visit to the famous Cairo Museum, home to the amazing collection of artifacts.
Then we travel to the airport and fly to Aswan. Upon our arrival we transfer to board our private yacht the dahabyia Afandina. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Wednesday, September 10th

Egypt-06Sleep in and have a free morning. We take a late afternoon felucca sail to visit Elephantine Island for a special initiation at the temple of Knum, Satet, and Anket. Visit to the Nubian market for some serious shopping. Circle. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Thursday, September 11th

Egypt-14Early morning sunrise visit to the beautiful island temple at Philae. At the Temple of Isis we will have a private initiation ceremony. This magnificent island temple represents the fusion of three great civilizations – Egyptian, Greek, and Roman. The presence of Isis is palpable in the inner sanctum, the Holy of Holies where we well have our ceremony.

Then we sail back to the dahabyia for breakfast and begin our journey to Kom Ombo. Circle. We will sail to an island near Kom Ombo & spend the night. There is time to meet together, luxuriate and relax, catch up on sleep, read, write in our journals, and enjoy the ride along the Nile. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Friday, September 12th

Egypt-17 Egypt-16 Egypt-15Morning sail to visit Temple of Kom Ombo that is dedicated to Horus the god of light and Sobek the crocodile god of strength, fortitude, fertility and rebirth. Here the work is about balancing the dark and light within.

Then we will sail on to an island near Edfu and spend the night. Circle.
Evening or early morning visit to the Temple of Edfu. This is one of the most beautifully preserved temples in Egypt. This temple is dedicated to Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris.

Egypt-18Egypt-28Sail onto Esna and enjoy the scenery along the Nile. Visit the Temple of Esna to visit the temple dedicated to Knum. Circle. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Sunday, September 14th

We continue to sail until we reach Luxor. In the afternoon we will visit Karnak which is one of the largest temple complexes in the world. It has been home for more than 3,500 years to the living statue of the lioness goddess Sekhmet. She will initiate us with her fierce compassion. We will further explore the temple of Karnak and visit the Sacred Lake.

Monday, September 15th

Egypt-29We visit the West Bank of Luxor. We will go to the Valley of the Kings. Here we will visit the tombs of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. We also travel to the Valley of the Queens and Der el Bahari where we will visit Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple. She was the only female pharaoh. There are two special chambers here, one dedicated to Hathor and the other dedicated to Anubis. We will also visit the temple of Medinet Habu which is the mortuary temple of Ramses III. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Tuesday, September. 16th

Egypt-31We travel by bus north to visit Dendera which is the most beautiful temple dedicated to Hathor. Hathor is the goddess of bliss, happiness, and ecstasy as well as dance, music, and song. We will meet and work this this goddess of love and joy. There is an amazing zodiac built into the ceiling in a chamber on the roof of this temple. There is an underground crypt of amazing hieroglyphs.

Then we will visit the temple of Abydos and the Osireion where the image of the Flower of Life is tattooed on a column there. This temple includes a more recent portion built by Seti I which contains the most beautiful reliefs of any temple in Egypt. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Wednesday, September 17th

Egypt-24We have the morning to visit Luxor’s market, Museum and other fascinating sites. In the evening we visit the exquisite Luxor temple under the stars.

Thursday, September 18th

Egypt-25Egypt-32We fly back to Cairo and check into the Mena House Hotel in Giza.

We have a special private evening visit in the Great Pyramid with culminating initiation in the King’s Chamber. (Breakfast) Rest of the day is free.

Friday, September 19th

Egypt-27A day in Cairo for shopping at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Then we will visit the Old Cairo churches and synagogue. Farewell dinner to share our Egyptian experiences.
